About

Frank Lloyd Wright said, “Space is the breath of art,” and I believe that the spaces which we occupy and inhabit can have such profound influence on our states of mind and even personal health. And time and time again, when I enter a room that has been meticulously designed to be as comforting and functional as possible, I find that I genuinely feel better. Growing up in the Texas Hill Country, most of the architecture I saw was as utilitarian as it comes: barns, ranch houses, and cabins were the norm. I remember the first time I visited the University of Texas campus; my mother took me to see the Blanton Museum of Art. We ended up wandering around the Forty Acres for several hours just looking at the buildings. That lead to several tours of Europe and Mexico, in part to explore the unique structures there, and briefly studying architecture under Professor Larry Speck at UT. So it came as no surprise to me that I enjoy photographing architectural spaces.

If you are an architect, please let me rejoice in our shared understanding of how light affects a space and showcase your vision the way it was meant to be shown. If you are an interior designer, allow my images to be your marketing so that others can appreciate the spaces you create. And if you are a builder, invite me to the job site during construction as well as upon completion to illustrate your skills in turning raw materials into tangible structure. Send me an email and tell me about your project. I am based in Austin, Texas and would love to be part of your team!
